How to Watch: Columbus Crew vs. Atlanta United - Massive Report

banyakjin.blogspot.com

It’s a big weekend for the Columbus Crew, a team set to host Atlanta United at Lower.com Field on Saturday. It’s the fifth match at the Black & Gold’s new stadium and probably the most important one. The Five Stripes come to Ohio trying to snap their long winless run against a Crew side who has had two consecutive poor losses.

Columbus has conceded eight goals in its last two matches in what is the team’s first two-match losing streak in almost three months. The Black & Gold have most of their personnel healthy and match fit and are in the position where they need to respond with a result. The Crew players and coaches blamed themselves for the last two results and know they aren’t a bad team overnight.

Atlanta is still on a winless run with a draw against CF Montreal on Wednesday, extending the streak to 12 straight. The match at Montreal ended with star striker Josef Martinez receiving a red card, which leaves the Venezuelan suspended for Saturday’s game against Columbus. While the attack is missing its biggest star, the Atlanta defense gets its most well known name back with the return of Miles Robinson from the U.S. Men’s National Team’s Gold Cup run.

Injuries and Suspensions:

Crew: Artur (right hip), Aidan Morris (left knee), Milton Valenzuela (right thigh), and Perry Kitchen (knee) are OUT. Josh Williams (left ankle) and Vito Wormgoor (right thigh) are QUESTIONABLE.

Atlanta United: Josef Martinez (suspended), Emerson Hyndman (torn ACL), Franco Ibarra (lower body), and Mo Adams (left quad) are OUT. Jake Mulraney (lower body) and Brooks Lennon (lower body) are QUESTIONABLE.
