The Buccaneers have really had a great start to the 2021 calendar year.
In addition to winning the Super Bowl in February, they have had a near-perfect offseason by returning all 22 starters and much of their depth from a year ago. Not surprisingly, a return trip to the Super Bowl seems to be the floor for this team. Of course, it’s been 17 years since a team won back-to-back Super Bowls and only three teams since have made it back to the Super Bowl after winning it. Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has been involved in all four instances.

Heading into the 2021 season, the Bucs have as good a shot as anyone to buck the trend. For one, they have Brady on their side, and two, they are an incredibly talented roster who may be the very best collection of players in the entire league. Not a bad situation to be in when attempting to win back-to-back Super Bowls and it seems many other outlets agree. On top of returning their own free agents, the Bucs added versatile running back Gio Bernard to address the issues they had in the passing attack from that position, and they added Joe Tryon out of Washington in the first round of the NFL Draft.
As is tradition, after the conclusion of the NFL Draft, many have released the latest version of their power rankings and to the surprise of no one, the Buccaneers top many of the lists.
