Davis was deemed out for Friday's contest with left knee soreness. The star big man tried to go through warmups ahead of the Lakers' matchup with the Thunder, but he wasn't comfortable enough to play, being ruled out just before the game.
It is unknown when Davis suffered the injury, as he played 38 minutes in the team's loss to the Grizzlies on Thursday night. While his absence could normally be attributed to a maintenance day on the second night of a back-to-back, head coach Frank Vogel nixed that idea pregame on Friday, calling it "significant" knee soreness.

It is unknown how long Davis will be out, as coach Vogel stated after the game that he "doesn't know the next steps" for his star forward's knee injury.
