Toilet paper 'calculator' answers how many rolls you really need - Fox17

LONDON — A new website is telling people how long their toilet paper supply will last to keep them from hoarding the household staple during the coronavirus pandemic.

The site — howmuchtoiletpaper.com — uses a "calculator" to tell you you many days you'll be covered.

The calculator asks two main questions: "rolls you have" and "toilet visits per day."

For a more exact answer, you can enter more information, such as the length of your quarantine and sheets on a roll.

The site was created by the London-based software development student Ben Sassoon and artist Sam Harris.

“We were upset at the stockpiling and hoarding of toilet paper 'round the world," they said. "To help reduce the shortages, we created this site to inform people of how much they really need.

"So far, the average user has enough toilet paper to last 500% of their quarantine. We hope we will reduce this."

The pair added they initially started the site "as a bit of light-hearted humor."

"But it is clear we made a tool that can educate the masses,” they said.

The site says it has been used by more than 5 million people.
