ST. PAUL, MINN. – State health experts say the numbers on coronavirus don’t tell the real story.
Minnesota Department of Health Infectious Disease Director Kris Ehresmann says it’s likely the state has 10 times as many cases as reports indicate. Many could have no symptoms – or mild ones – but still could be spreading the virus.
Ehresmann says it’s even possible the number of positive cases in Minnesota is 100 times the level being reported. That’s because relatively few people are being tested. She says that’s why it’s so important to take community mitigation seriously.
